Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
A structured, safe, and positive environment where children develop confidence, discipline, and real skills — on and off the mats.
Built for parents who care about quality
Choosing where your child trains is a decision about trust. At Ascend, your child will be coached by experienced instructors who lead with calm authority, clear boundaries, and genuine care.

We do not use shouting, intimidation, or punishment.
We build discipline through structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

Parents value:

-
A professional, well-maintained training environment

-
Clear boundaries and respectful coaching

-
Structured classes with visible learning outcomes

-
A culture where every child is treated with patience and respect

Classes structured by age
Kids (Ages 4-10)
Developing core jiu jitsu techniques with age-appropriate instruction. Children learn positional awareness, basic submissions, and the value of persistence and respect.

Teens (Ages 10–16)
More technical depth and structured progression. Teens develop problem-solving skills, physical confidence, and the discipline to train consistently — preparing them for adult classes when they are ready.
More than techniques
Jiu jitsu teaches children things that matter far beyond the mats:

-
Confidence — earned through steady improvement, not empty praise

-
Discipline — built through structure and respectful expectations

-
Resilience — learning to stay calm under pressure and try again

-
Respect — for coaches, training partners, and themselves

-
Focus — the ability to listen, follow instruction, and work with others

Many children train with us for years, growing in capability and character.

What parents need to know
-
No experience needed. Children start at whatever level they are at.

-
Comfortable clothing is fine for the first session. We can advise on equipment if they continue.

-
Parents are welcome to watch from the viewing area.

-
Consistency matters more than talent. We encourage regular attendance and celebrate effort.
